Zelda Fanart 1: The Legend of Zelda

Woot Zelda fanart! Said I was gonna do all the games, and that's what I'm gonna do! 


Random thing I just realized about this game as I was drawing this and looking back. If you think about it, this game is probably the darkest Zelda game. Yup. Darker than Twilight Princess. I mean think about it. It's a game that takes place in a world that's in chaos, to the point where people live in caves and monsters roam free. It's dungeons are usually dark and ominous with more sinister-like monsters lurking in every corner, with the exception of like 2 or 3 rooms. Everyone's a huge jerk, minus an old man, woman, and some moblins but that's are a secret to everyone. (haha) Certainly wouldn't want to live in that world compared to the Hyrule in Twilight Princess. Atleast there's towns and the Zoras aren't trying to kill you whenever you get in the same screen of a small river or the ocean. 

Rambling aside, while drawing this, I wanted to kind of show a bit of the dark atmosphere of the game. Sadly, it doesn't really work when you have a cartoony drawing style xD.

Scratch that. Nothing is a darker world than in the world of Zelda CDI: The Faces of Evil. Nope. Can't get any worse. (Why do you exist!)

Quick little heads up: 
I'm not going to just start busting these out one after another. Gonna squeeze these in between commissions, Sonic Skyline pages (which btw will be coming soon. Hopefully next week soon.) , and other stuff. 

Anyway, other than the fact that I just wanted to do these, I thought it would be a fun countdown till the release of the new game! (Not sure if I'll be able to finish by March 3rd, but let's go!)

So this game, THIS GAME! Was intresting when I was a kid. haha I already played the crap out of Ocarina of Time by the time I finally got around to playing it, but it was a great experience never the less, mostly because it was one of the first really big bonding moments I've ever had with my dad. Playing the game next to him as he tells me where all of the secret areas were and some other quick tips, were one of the greatest memories I keep with me. Honestly, that's probably the only reason why I'd still hold it to a higher degree to some of the other games in the franchise.

The game itself, although amazing for it's time, isn't really something to hold a candle to, let alone a blue candle. (That was a terrible joke and I apologize for it xD) It was a huge maze of a game that almost requires a guide to actually beat. I only beat it twice and immediately went back to playing Ocarina of Time for the umptinth time. 

Sorry for sharing my probably boring memories with the game. xD I just felt like sharing. haha xD
